I’ve finally got my new PR card. Had to get up early to pick it up. I accompanied the tiger on his way to work for part of the way. Just when I was leaving the bus downtown I ran into a neighbor who was headed into the same general direction. Nice chat. :o)
Afterwards I treated myself to some breakfast and a huge caramel coretto at the Second Cup and then headed over to KnitKnackers for some Araucania Ruca I’ve been coveting for some time. Yummy stuff that.
I’m always amused and unaccountably surprised when people I met in areas totally unrelated to any kind of fiber activity, suddenly pop up on ravelry. The intarwebz – they’z cool.

My Jojoland yarn arrived today. So yummy. It’s a very pale cobweb weight, in the colors of a soap bubble. Just looking at it puts me in a happy place.
The fourth installment was posted on Sunday, and I just did the first few rounds of the third. I did, however finish the shawl for my mom:
That’s the first Christmas present taken care of. Yay!
Had a blast at a friend’s house out near Dunrobin today, with kids and dogs and lotsa yarn. The weather played nice, it wasn’t too hot, but nicely warm and sunny. I even got a slight sunburn on one side, but nothing a little aloe won’t take care of in a day or two.
We had burgers and hotdogs, salad and corn chips, and cookies, cake, brownies and flapjacks for dessert. The tiger, who had to work, gratefully received a care package of chocolate cake and brownies. Thanks guys, that was awesome.
